Main Street Apartments
Project Overview
Main Street Apartments, located in the heart of Viroqua, Wisconsin, is a 123,994 square foot development that includes 65 modern apartments, two retail spaces, and a full-service daycare. What once was an aging county facility has been transformed into a thriving community hub that brings housing, services, and opportunity together.
The project began with the demolition of the county’s old maintenance buildings and public works garages. Beneath the surface, crews uncovered contaminated soil that required careful removal. Instead of sending materials to the landfill, nearly 5,000 tons of concrete were crushed and reused on site to create a strong foundation for the new structure. Despite record rainfall through June and July of 2024, the team stayed on schedule through detailed coordination, safety planning, and collaboration with local partners and subcontractors.
From the bold exterior to the practical one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts, every detail of Main Street Apartments was designed for the way people live and work in Viroqua. The completed project adds quality housing and vitality to the community.
