Project Overview
Main Street Apartments is a standout example of how Northcentral Construction brings new life to Wisconsin communities. Located in the heart of Viroqua, the 123,994 square foot development includes 65 modern apartments, two retail spaces, and a full-service daycare. What once was an aging county facility has been transformed into a thriving community hub that combines housing, services, and opportunity.
The project began with demolition of the existing county shops and workshops. Beneath the surface, crews discovered contaminated soil that required careful removal. Rather than sending all materials to the landfill, Northcentral crushed and reused nearly 5,000 tons of concrete on site, reducing costs and creating a solid foundation for the new building. Despite record-setting rainfall through June and July of 2024, the team stayed on schedule through strong coordination, safety planning, and teamwork with local partners and ABC member subcontractors.
From the bold exterior to the comfortable one, two, and three bedroom layouts, every detail of Main Street Apartments was designed to support the people who live and work in Viroqua. The finished development reflects Northcentral Construction’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and safety.
