become an Apprentice

A Day On The JOb

What you Will Be Doing

As a key member of our crew, you will take on important work in either carpentry or concrete. You will learn how to work independently and alongside a team to get the job done right.

This is year round work, so you will experience every season and a wide range of job sites. Construction often means working at heights, so being comfortable up high is important.

Safety always comes first. Your safety is our top priority on every job site, every day.

Build Your Future with Northcentral

A Better Construction Experience

Northcentral Construction, headquartered in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, offers a stable, long-term career opportunity as a construction apprentice with growth potential from a company that truly cares about its people.

Here are just a few of the benefits of joining Northcentral’s apprenticeship program:

  1. No College Debt – Skip the student loans. Learn a skilled trade, and Northcentral Construction pays for your education while you build a career that lasts.
  2. Get Paid While You Learn – You earn a paycheck while learning on the job. Most class time is paid too. You are working, learning, and making money from day one.
  3. It’s a Career, Not a Job – When you say yes to an apprenticeship, you enter the workforce immediately. Real projects. Real responsibility. Hands-on learning with occasional classroom support.
  4. Learn From Experience – Northcentral Construction has been building across Wisconsin for more than 35 years. We have trained apprentices straight out of high school who are still part of our team today. Our apprenticeship program is supported through our partnership with Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin.
  5. Room to Grow – There is a clear path forward here. Start as a helper. Build skills. Move into a skilled role. Step up to foreman. Grow into site or project management if that’s your goal.

Earn While You Learn

An apprenticeship is an excellent post-secondary education option, similar to a college or university, but with a unique twist. As an apprentice, you will not only gain valuable skills in the classroom, but the majority of your training will occur on the job with an employer who trains you across the entire scope of the trade.

From the very first day, you will be paid for all of your on-the-job training and most of your classroom learning. As you advance through the program, you will receive regular pay raises. Additionally, apprenticeships offer a significant financial advantage, as there is little to no student debt involved.

Length of Apprenticeship: 4 Years      On The Job Work Hours: 6,416
